Civil War Era Landmine Discovered In Arkansas

Not all buried artifacts are harmless, as was the case in Arkansas this week, when a man unearthed what he thought was an antique cannonball, but turned out to be an unexploded landmine. The local bomb squad was called in to detonate it, and all ended well.

An Arkansas man stumbled across what he assumed was an old cannonball. It turned out to be a Civil War era landmine. Twenty households were forced to evacuate.
